Sony Cybershot DSC-W180 10.1MP Digital Camera with 3x SteadyShot Stabilized Zoom and 2.7-inch LCD

I bought a sony DSC-180. It was terrible. Picture quality was awful. I want to imagine camera was defective. People’s faces looked like plastic dolls after a day at the beach!!
I couldn’t believe I had problems AGAIN!!! with a sony product. I bought a PC sony 5 years ago. I had to sell it in parts after 14 months. It was useless. Now again. I had to return this camera. Chunty camera ever. Bought a SAMSUNG instead.

Cheap and usefull at the same time.
I recommend this camera for people that just want to point and shot.
Cons; doesnt have several easy access picture modes, but is increadible easy for my mother use.

I have owned a previous Sony and loved it, but this camera is terrible. It takes 2 to 3 seconds to take a picture. It is unnatural to use. Just like the other Sony and Cannon cameras, you put your finger on the button, and it focuses and is ready to go, right? Wrong. You depress the button further and it takes another 2 seconds to click. I can’t get good pictures of my kids since its too slow. I am going to give this one away and buy a better camera. I should have listened to the other raters on Amazon who rated this camera a pass. These reviews are never wrong in aggregate.

This camera looks very very good, is solid, well built and it is a Sony. I bought it because of those factors.
But – the quality of the pictures is horrible, even compared to cameras in the same $100 price range.
Photos made with flash are often overexposed or blurry or grainy. This is not because of the settings, because there is really not too much to set in this camera.
Pictures made in full sun are also low quality, which was a surprise to me.
The camera stores pics on the Sony memory stick, which is not compatible with anything.
I had this camera for three days and returned to store. I am not looking at any of Sony products.

Okay so, I agree with the other person who reviewed this, this camera isn’t good at all. The pictures come out really weird, & not clear. it makes your face look oily & blurred. The camera looks great, but when the picture comes out bad, its not worth it.
